And when I go there, I'll go there with you...
So it's the night before, and I'm surprisingly not stressed. I'm totally packed. I feel ready, I am ready. In 9 hours, I'll be on the way to SFO.
All of you will be missed for the next few months, but I won't be a complete stranger. I will have internet access and email and all of that and, of course, I will be here.
I hope that you enjoy these notes, feelings and pictures. I will try to update as often as possible. I know many of you would love to see this first-hand, and for sure, I would love for all of you to be here with me, but I know that's not possible. But you can go there with me through this. At least, you'll get to see a little of what I get to see every day.

hence is the power of the internet, that your older brother's high school girlfriend can find out what youre doing one late nite in new york city without even meaning to! I just cant get over how grown-up you must be if you are doing something as amazing as what the picures show. I just had to write to say how warm and fuzzy it makes me feel - last time i saw you the words " scrappy" and "kid" applied (probably to me as much as you!)
I hope you don't mind if I check your blog once in a while, now that I've found it...
best to you and yours (and if he's married, tell him congrats from me, ok?)

Lee, Bubbie & Ben were here for Thanksgiving & turned me on to your blog. I'm tremendously envious and would love to be there with you as you travel the Middle East and Africa. Cousin Brenda & I wish you well and we will continue to monitor your fascinating (and very well written) saga.
Ok, PinkyLee, here I go. I'm finally catching up on your blogs. Hope you have/had a wonderful trip :P.
